We just returned from a week long trip to Ocean Maya Royale, and it was an amazing experience! The location and grounds were beautiful, with direct access to the gorgeous white sand beaches and bright blue ocean waters. Miguel, Eber, and Jony at the pool bar were very kind and attentive bartenders. Viri led us in some great activities by the poolside and Ame took some amazing photos of our vacation! The food was also excellent and there were many restaurant options to choose from. The buffet had great selection and we were always seated very promptly. Augustin, Rey, and Jorge at the lobby bar were very fun to chat with and made excellent drinks! The poolside pizza service is also a great touch. We would have appreciated more later-night activities or a nightclub option, as we felt this was the only thing missing from our experience. With that being said, we really enjoyed the sports bar as an option to grab a late-night snack/drink. Special shout out to Marcelo at the sports bar who was super friendly and attentive! The rooms were beautiful and quite spacious, with great views from the balcony. The staff do a great job keeping the rooms and resort clean, and were observant of our needs! We thank everyone at Ocean who made our trip an unforgettable, relaxing time!

The whole experience was way beyond our expectations. Our butler was Leidy who was always happy to help with anything. We paid a little more for the privilege access and it is totally worth it. The beach was cleaner than other resort’s beaches. Everything was extremely clean. The staff was so friendly and their service was impeccable. Every morning we went to the coffee shop where Anna made the best drinks. We would eat breakfast in the main area where they had an extraordinary buffet of different cultural foods. We visited each of the restaurants at the resort and we have never had better food, drinks, and desserts. The nightly shows/events were so awesome!!! We would relax at the beach where Jesus and others would take our drink orders and bring them to us. I have never been more relaxed in my life. It was very sad to leave and would highly recommend everyone to go there.

My husband and I arrived on February 25th for a 7 night stay. We are premium members so booking the vacation was seemless and they provided us with a number to call for transportation to and from the airport. We travel a lot and let me tell you the resort is smaller which is what we were looking for. Easy to get around and very clean The staff was amazing and I wish I could remember everyone's name. The gentleman at Mike's coffee house at night was the most amazing always smiling and even remembered my nightly order after a couple of nights. We like our afternoon drinks at the lobby. bar. Excellent service Octavo,Jorge,Herbert and Yovanneti The spa ladies were wonderful thank you all especially Lupe! Our butler Juan did a fantastic job making sure we had dinner reservations and for setting up a special dinner night for my husband's birthday. Food here was probably the best we have had in a long time ( I'm a chef) The only downside for a member was there was no pool area designated for member only beach area. As we are older getting up early ( before 6am) and running down to claim a chair at the pool wasn't convenient. We will definitely be back

We just returned a few days ago from a lovely week at the Ocean Maya Royale. Here's our detailed and honest review. First, I would confidently say that this is one is one of our top resort picks in the Mayan Riviera, if not our outright favorite! We booked into a Privilege Junior Suite - we very much enjoyed the perks of the Privilege program, but it's by no means a requirement to have a nice trip. The resort and grounds: The resort itself and the grounds were lovely - overall well maintained and very clean. We enjoyed the wildlife we saw (coati's, a couple of deer, the resort cats, and so many birds!), and the plant life around the resort was great. The beach: We liked sitting on the beach for most of the week - lovely views. This is an area where we appreciated the Privilege upgrade - having a quiet section of the beach, plus beachside service, helped make our stay even better. The sargassum was out in full force during our stay, which kept us from getting in the ocean - no fault of the resort at all, just mother nature doing what she does. That said, the beach in the privilege area does seem to act as a natural collection point for sargassum, and there's no way for them to get a tractor in here, so be prepared for sargassum buildup on that side. In lieu of swimming in the ocean, it was nice that the pool was just a few steps away. The food and drinks: Overall, the food quality was consistently good. We took advantage of a la cartes most of the time, hitting the buffet a couple of times for breakfast. I really appreciated the Chilaquiles station at the breakfast buffet. Breakfast at the Privilege restaurant was always well prepared with great service, but it did generally take a bit longer than I'd like for a breakfast meal. El Charro - this was one of the standouts for us. We ate lunch at El Charro most days, and didn't run out of options that we wanted to try, between the main menu and the daily specials. Dinner at El Charro was great as well. Blue Moon - a great dinner here as well. The beef filet was a standout for me. La Dolce Vita - probably the first time that we truly enjoyed Italian dinner at an all-inclusive! Don't pass up on this restaurant! Privilege dinner - we enjoyed our dinner at the Privilege restaurant, but I didn't find it to be elevated over the other restaurants - just a nice option to have a steakhouse style dinner. Drink quality was great - the bartenders made great drinks, and we really appreciated having access to better quality spirits (Herradura and Don Julio tequilas, for example) from the privilege package. The house wines were good enough - not fantastic, but better than we've experienced at some other AI's. The staff: Another highlight of the trip - the staff were great! Everyone was always kind and responsive. A couple of standouts were Leidy (our Privilege butler) and Jesus (our server on the privilege beach). We had an issue with the AC in our room when we arrived the first evening - we sent in a request to get it looked at, and it was resolved the next morning. Really happy with the responsiveness from everyone at this resort. The Privilege program / upgrade: Like I said earlier, we really appreciated the privilege program, but I would say that this would be a very individual choice. For us, we really valued having the private and quiet beach spot, the beachside service, the ability to book reservations at a la cartes, access to better quality spirits, and having the beachside restaurant for breakfast and lunch when we wanted it. All told, this enhanced the experience for us, and I doubt we would come back without booking privilege. All in all, we loved our stay and are definitely planning on coming back!

We spent 2 wonderful weeks , the place was absolutely breathtaking and spotless, the staff , so many to appreciate went over and above to make your time memorable, I am mentioning a few who we spent many days chatting with, Elizabeth kept our room tidy and went over and beyond to touch it up often even when we told her it was fine, in the dining room buffet, Sara was amazing, in the bar areas , Edith and Yovannetti went over and above also making sure we had a refill or brought us whatever we needed. The entertainment staff esp, Gustavo , and all the assistants brought so many great hours of entertainment, my body misses his daily pool aerobics. Finally, the food in any of the restaurants or buffets was outstanding, well beyond our expectations, we will definitely return and hopefully bring our friends with us , thank you to all the front desk staff and outside staff, you are all amazing . Sincerely, Linda and Gerard, ps, we loved the Karaoke nites,

We've had a lovely relaxing 2 weeks at this fabulous Resort. Though we didn't get involved much with the activities, there were certainly lots to satisfy everyone. The buildings and rooms are very attractive and spacious. We liked the Blue Moon and there was always a good choice in La Hacienda. The Staff were fantastic and work tirelessly to meet demand. We didn't get to know too many names, but always complimented the Chefs and staff. Yovenetti always had a cheeky smile and was very efficient in the main Bar as was Edith. The staff made the whole experience memorable

Our first time staying at the Ocean Maya Royale. What a great experience! The Villas are attractive, the grounds are clean and very picturesque and very beautifully lit at night. Our room is very spacious, clean and comfortable, as was our bed. All the restaurants, drink bars and outdoor kitchens are fabulous. Restraurante El Charro was especially fabulous and Victor took excellent care of us. Beaches, boardwalk, pools and courtyard are fantastic. All the staff take really excellent care of us are fun to be with. Others we talked with had very similar things to stay about the resort.

Spent a week here and had a fabulous time. Everyone was great! Octavio and Carlos in the buffet are great at what they do. Very attentive and friendly. All staff are friendly and always smiling. The entire experiences team were fantastic! The rooms and the resort for that matter is very clean. Bummer about the sargassum but still had a wonderful 7 days. Would recommend this resort.
